Almond Butter and Banana

Almond Butter Banana Smoothie

An Almond Butter Smoothie is a great way to start your day as almond butter has healthy fats and fiber which improves your blood cholesterol to help reduce heart disease.

Almonds are packed with vitamin E which protects your cells from oxidative damage which makes you look younger


  • 7 oz 2-percent plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1/2 banana
  • ½ teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed oil or ground flaxseeds
  • ice (use to make less thick)


Blend ingredients until smooth. The Banana makes it naturally sweet and has its own healthy vitamins in it.


Get creative with your smoothie by adding your favorite ingredients into the mix.

Give one of these combos a try:

1/2 cup fresh blueberries with 2 teaspoon ginger,

1 cup chopped kale or spinach with 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric – the latest wonder spice,

1/2 cup strawberries/ raspberries  or blueberries with 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
